Learn About Literacy Legislation in PA and Recent Updates (Webinar)

As you may have seen, 2024 NAEP scores were recently released and they were not good. Reading scores have been declining. 66% of PA 4th graders are not reading proficiently and that number rises to 84% for Black and Hispanic students.

The scores also showed a growing inequity. Scores for higher performing students remained stable but scores for lower performing students plummeted.

A lot needs to change in PA and across the country. Join Rachael Garnick from the Pennsylvania Literacy Coalition will be talking about the literacy policy in PA and budget implications for literacy.

This event is co-sponsored by Reading Allowed and the PA Literacy Coalition.
